LOSING
---Rainer Maria Rilke
Losing too is still ours; and even forgetting
still has a shape in the kingdom of transformation.
When something's let go of, it circles; and though we are
rarely the center
of the circle, it draws around us its unbroken, marvelous
curve.
Gravity, by Sara Bareilles

A beautiful song about loss between any two people, whehter they be lovers or friends or mothers/daughters (which is where I'm at right now).
Hope all is well with you and yours, my friend.

As with you, Val, life always seems to be one step forward, one step back. That happens to me every time I forget that I'm not self-sufficient. Ingrained habits die hard.
Sorry for your grief, but see above: "Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless."
